Although they didn’t have exactly what I needed, they had two very fluffy cats, and visiting with them was the good experience I needed to stay motivated on my unexpected hardware project.

I am here to shamelessly share this photo. For all those guys and gals who like a small town hardware store, this is a, "must visit". The folk are friendly and knowledgable.

Probably one of the nicest and most well-stocked hardware stores I’ve ever been to. You don’t necessarily expect a hardware store in a relatively remote area of Marin County to have exactly what you’re looking for in stock, but this place more than hit the mark. Reasonably priced too!

For a small resort town hardware store they are very well stocked. We have a cottage in nearby Inverness and can find most repair and building items that we need. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a lot of nice gift items. I love just browsing.

This has always been a good little hardware store. Lumber, tools, a bit of everything. In the last few months it has gone from good to great. What makes it great? Customer service. Here's my story. Last weekend I needed a mower. Our grass was crazy and it had been weeks while I waited for a weed fairy to appear and make my weeds go away. I stopped by Ace and asked if they had mowers. Nope. Not yet. Then today I ran into the owner and told him I had had to go to Friedman's to buy a mower. His response? "Next time you need something we don't have you let me know. If someone has to drive and waste gas, let it be us, not you." Sold!! Great products, great prices and above all great service!
